float: right; cursor: pointer; width: 200px;" src="http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s91/skyngsmile/poster-child049.jpg" alt="" border="0" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;Asperger Syndrome or (Asperger's Disorder) is a neurobiological disorder named for a Viennese physician, Hans Asperger, who in 1944 published a paper which described a pattern of behaviors in several young boys who had normal intelligence and language development, but who also exhibited autistic-like behaviors and marked deficiencies in social and communication skills.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Individuals with AS can exhibit a variety of characteristics and the disorder can range from mild to severe. Persons with AS show marked deficiencies in social skills, have difficulties with transitions or changes and prefer sameness. They often have obsessive routines and may be preoccupied with a particular subject of interest. They have a great deal of difficulty reading nonverbal cues (body language) and very often the individual with AS has difficulty determining proper body space. Often overly sensitive to sounds, tastes, smells, and sights, the person with AS may prefer soft clothing, certain foods, and be bothered by sounds or lights no one else seems to hear or see. It's important to remember that the person with AS perceives the world very differently. Therefore, many behaviors that seem odd or unusual are due to those neurological differences and not the result of intentional rudeness or bad behavior, and most certainly not the result of "improper parenting".&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The major behavioral characteristics of Asperger's syndrome are:&lt;p&gt;  &lt;/p&gt;&lt;ol&gt;&lt;li&gt;impairment in social interaction and communication &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;repetitive or obsessive behaviors &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;preoccupation with particular subjects or interests &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;good (sometimes superior) grammar and vocabulary &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;normal cognitive development &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;normal or above average intelligence. &lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ol&gt;Although the behavioral symptoms of Asperger's syndrome are well established, very little is known about the disorder's neurobiological roots. Some studies have shown that people diagnosed with autism have abnormalities in the frontal and parietal lobes of their brains.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The researchers found that Asperger's subjects had a significantly higher  prefrontal lobe concentrations of all metabolites measured.  Also, the  concentration of one of the metabolites (N-acetylaspartate) was positively  correlated with obsessive behavior.  The concentration of another  metabolite (choline) was positively correlated with social impairment.  In  other words, the higher the concentration of these chemicals in the  subject's prefrontal lobe, the more likely the person was to have a high  score on the Yale-Brown or Autism Diagnostic tests.  People with highly  abnormal prefrontal metabolite concentrations were likely to have highly  severe Asperger's symptoms. Mereka menjadi gemuk dan ototnya kendor, napas menjadi pendek, merokok terlalu banyak, gigi mulai tanggal, terkantuk-kantuk di depan televisi sampai larut malam dan kemudian tidak dapat tidur, bangun pagi hari dengan perasaan letih dan merasa tegang, tidak sehat dan seperti ada yang tidak terpenuhi. Hal ini bukan pengaruh dari proses ketuaan, juga bukan karena penyakit actual, melainkan merupakan akibat dari gaya hidup yang lamban dan banyak duduk.&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Ada dua penyebab yang menimbulkan keadaan yang menyedihkan ini, yaitu makan berlebihan dan kurang gerak badan.&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Pekerjaan yang terus-menerus berada di belakang meja hanya menggunakan 1000-1500 Kal setiap hari, tapi mengkonsumsi makanan yang nilai kalorinya dua kali jumlah tersebut. Sayangnya, makanan yang melebihi kebutuhan fisik tidak menghilang melainkan menumpuk di dalam tubuh dalam bentuk lemak.&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Kurang gerak badan memendekkan umur. Para pekerja yang banyak duduk lebih mungkin meninggal karena sakit jantung daripada orang-orang yang pekerjaannya menuntut kegiatan fisik. Perbedaan yang sangat besar dalam jumlah gerak badan yang terlibat dalam pekerjaan itulah yang melindungi atau mengancam jantung.&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Otot yang kurang dipergunakan sampai pada tingkat tertentu menjadi layu. Maka apabila mau digerakkan, ternyata kaku dan lemah. Namun, jika terus dipergunakan dapat menjadikannya luwes dan kuat lagi.&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Manfaat awal melakukan latihan jasmani tambahan adalah perasaan segar. Yaitu perasaan segar, cerdas, bertenaga dan sehat. Pernapasan menjadi segar dan dalam serta penuh gairah hidup. Pernapasan yang dalam memungkinkan orang mengendalikan dengan lebih baik pernapasannya, sehingga dengan tenang dan sadar memanfaatkan semaksimal mungkin oksigen yang terdapat dalam udara yang dihirup.&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;ul style="margin-top: 0cm;" type="square"&gt;&lt;li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Rangkaian iga dilatih dengan menahan perut tetap      tenang selagi secara perlahan-lahan menarik napas dalam-dalam.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Menahannya selama dua atau tiga detik kemudian      menghembuskannya.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Pertama dengan membiarkan elastisitas alamiah iga      mengembalikan dada ke posisinya yang biasa selama pernapasan berhenti.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Kemudian secara perlahan-lahan dan dengan sengaja      hembuskan napas sekuatnya.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Tahan selama dua detik.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Kemudian kembali membiarkan elastisitas iga kembali      ke posisi istirahat.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Setelah istirahat sejenak, prosedur tersebut      diulang sampai 10 atau 12 kali.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Inilah cara yang baik untuk memulai latihan relaksasi, yang membantu menghilangkan ketegangan.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 18pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18pt;"&gt;&lt;!--[if !supportLists]--&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;b style="color: rgb(255, 102, 0);"&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;2.&lt;span style="font-family: &amp;quot;Times New Roman&amp;quot;; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal;"&gt;      &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;!--[endif]--&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 102, 0);"&gt;Jalan&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoBodyText"&gt;Pun orang-orang yang sedikit sekali melakukannya akan memperoleh banyak manfaat. Sedapat mungkin tulang belakang harus dipertahankan dalam posisi tegak lurus.&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Postur yang baik memberikan keseimbangan yang baik pada tubuh. Postur yang baik ini adalah sumbangan yang berharga untuk kesehatan tubuh, paling tidak mengurangi kemungkinan ketegangan pada otot punggung.&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Berdirilah tegak bagaikan seorang prajurit dalam barisan yang tengah “istirahat”, tidak lunglai atau membungkukmelainkan kepala lurus ke depan, bahu rileks dan turun, perut agak dikempiskan.&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Latihan relaksasi baik untuk kesehatan, mental. Ada dua aspek dari suatu emosi, keadaan pikiran dan keadaan jasmani yang sesuai dengannya dan masing-masing memperkuat satu sama lain.&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Belajar menghilangkan kecemasan dengan relaksasi adalah bentuk pengendalian diri yang jauh lebih baik daripada menggertakkan gigi dan berusaha untuk tetap tabah. Earthquakers, tornadoes, tsunami, high floods and others. Realize or not, it gave great impacts in our life, especially people who suffered it instantly. Those are a variety of life events as representing losses.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Loss is truly an issued that should be viewed from a bio-psychosocial perspective. A person experiences loss in the absence of an object, person, body part or function, or emotion that was formerly present. Loss occurs when something or someone can no longer be seen, felt, heard, known, or experienced.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:85%;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(51, 51, 255);"&gt;In Fundamental of Nursing (1992), written that loss has decided in five categories :&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 102, 0);"&gt;1. Lost of External Object&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;Although the loss of external objects is not usually a prominent loss, the area of finances can be troublesome and stressful for some people. Loss of an external object involves any possession that is worn out, misplaced, stolen or ruined by disaster.&lt;br /&gt;The extent of grieving a person feels for a lost object depends on its value, the sentiment the person attaches to it and the object’s usefulness.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 102, 0);"&gt;2. Loss of a Know Environment&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;Loss through separation from a known environment may occur through maturational or situational circumstances and through injury or illness. The loneliness of an unfamiliar setting may threaten self-esteem and makes grieving more difficult.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 102, 0);font-size:130%;" &gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;3. Loss of a Significant Other&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;Significant other include parents, spouses, children, work associates, entertainment figure and also pets. The loss of the loved one may be total or partial. There may also be a loss of some special aspect of the person, even though the person is still physically present.&lt;br /&gt;Loss occurs as a result of separation, moving, running away, promotion at work and death.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 102, 0);"&gt;4. Loss of an Aspect of Self&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;The loss of an aspect of self may include a body part, physiological function, or psychological function.&lt;br /&gt;“&lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;While other girls in my class were anticipating their first real kiss, I was worrying about whether my father was going to come into my bed that night.&lt;/span&gt;”&lt;br /&gt;The woman who has been raped also suffers a number of losses.&lt;br /&gt;A person not only experiences grief over the loss but may experience permanent changes in body image and self concept.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 102, 0);"&gt;5. Loss of Life&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;Concern is often not about death it self but about pain and loss of control. Although most people are afraid of and anxious about death, the same issues will not be equally important to each person. Each person respons differently to death.&lt;br /&gt;The type of loss is significant to the grieving process. We need to recognize that each person’s interpretation of a loss is highly individualized.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(51, 51, 255);"&gt;In a religious book, there are good suggestion which could be followed :&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li style="color: rgb(204, 102, 204);"&gt;When you felt afraid of lossing something, try to imagine the worse things that could be happened. Than, prepare your self receiving any risks with good preparation. Cause someday you will hate him/her. An expression of warmth and respect by the nurse facilitates this exchange. Give the person special attention at the beginning of the interview by calling the client name and using appropriate touch. The nurse must clearly state any expectations and assess the client’s understanding of the communication. Therapeutic communication techniques are valuable. However, an attitude of caring is the foundation of therapeutic transaction. The nurse should be aware of actions that often block communication.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;After the initial interview, a therapeutic communication process is established। Empathetic communication is a skill acquired through self-awareness and perceptive listening (Goodner &amp;amp; Skidmore-Roth, 1993). &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;Communicating Effectively With Older&lt;/span&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="fullpost"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;Communicating with older clients often requires extra time and patience because of physical, psychologic, and social changes of normal aging. The following tips make communication with older people easier &lt;span style="font-size:85%;"&gt;(From the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association, Rockville, Md, 1988)&lt;/span&gt;:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;Before you begin your conversation, reduce distracting background noises (turn of the radio or television, close the door, move to a quieter place)।&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;Begin the conversation with casual topics (the weather, what the person had for lunch)। Avoid crucial messages at the beginning.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;Continue conversation with familiar subjects such as family members and special interests of the person।&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;Stick to a topic for a while। Avoid quick shifts from topic to topic.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;Keep your sentences and questions short। Rephrase rather than repeat a misunderstood sentence.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;Give older persons a chance to reminisce। Their memories are important to them.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;Allow extra time for responding। As people age, they function better at a slower tempo. Do not hurry them.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;Give the person choices to ease decision making (“Do you want tea or coffee?” rather than “What do you want to drink?”)।&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;Be an active listener। If you are not sure what is being said, look for hints from eye gaze and gestures। Than take a guess (“Are you talking about the television news? Yes? Tell me more.
